Changing Your Cartridge
Your filter cartridge should last *up to 6 months in 95% of UK Water Areas
Depending on local water chemistry.
Please note that it's hard for us to be totally certain this filter will stop scale in your drinking water for a full 6 months. This is because there are thousands of local water treatment plants in the UK. Each has a unique water chemistry - which can change regularly. (And it’s hard to tell by exact area because even within the same postcode the water source can vary).
However, having said that, please rest assured that the cartridges do usually work well for the full 6 months for 95% plus of our customers.
However, even if you're in a particularly bad area the filter should last for 3 months plus. What can make a big difference is the flow rate of water going through the filter. The slower the better. You might need to reduce to 2 litres a minute. (This will fill your kettle for a cup of tea in a few seconds).
To adjust the flow rate simply use a flow restrictor / shut off valve. If you don't already have one ask us and we'll send one for free with your new filter. (Usual price £6.97). Ask us!

Different Tube Sizes?
You can adapt this housing to different tube sizes as follows. (Please note all sizes are OD / Outside Diameter of the tube ie you simply measure edge to edge).
8mm - 5/16s Tubing. This is a port that you simply screw into the housing inlet outlet. More info
9.6mm - 3/8ths Tubing This is a "straight connector" combination that converts the 1/4 inch tube up to your 9.6mm More info

Saddle Valve
Note: This saddle valve is only suitable for copper pipe
Question: I only have plastic pipe. Will this work on plastic pipe?
Answer: No it is only suitable for coopper pipe. Check this 15mm to 1/4 inch connector instead
Question: I don't have much copper pipe exposed. Will this fit?
Answer: You'll need at least 2 inches of exposed copper pipe in order to fit the saddle clamp onto the pipe

We first installed the Anti Scale Water System which was very easy to install, unfortunately for us the taste was not to our liking but please read through other reviews as many of there customers are very happy with the taste. As true to there word we returned the system with no quibbles and we upgraded to the Reverse Osmosis system. Again very straight forward to install and the water taste was very much to our liking. We are very happy with the system as we are saving a lot of money on bottled water, this could be up to 9 to 12 bottles a week, YES we drink a lot of water.
Customer service is very good, quick to respond and will help with any issues.

The filter arrived just 2 days after ordering and was easily fitted. Initially there was a slight taste in the water but that soon disappeared. We now have clean, clear water with a good flow rate. It looks as if a filter change will be quite easy without spills. Great product!

Hi UK Water Filters!
Most impressed with the anti-scale filter. At first I wasn't 100% keen on the tap - felt a bit flimsy. However I was pushing down instead of pulling the tap up (for anyone buying this, pull the tap up!)
But after sorting out the tap - I was happy. Water's great. My wife and I wished we had bought one years ago as we live in a hard water area.
