This is because any type of external "in line" water filter is very interchangeable. Read more on why below.

All you do is take the water pipes going in and out of your current filter and put them into your new, better value filter. It's that easy.

Please note: If your water / pipe tubing is at all hard to remove you can cut it off. This is easy to do. Simply use kitchen scissors and make sure it's a clean"square cut".

If you are understandably concerned about "burning your bridges" by cutting the pipes in this way, please don't worry.

If you decide to go back to using the original Fisher Paykel filter we will send you a simple pushfit connector to join the filter / head back to the tubing. Simply leave an inch or so of tube on the filter head side and this will be very easy.

We will send you these retro connectors for free. But you may like to know that of the thousands of replacement filters we've sold in this way, not a single customer has ever asked for this.

More About Your Cartridge

Fittings

The pack we send will contain everything you need to ensure an easy, smooth changeover.

The standard fitting fits all fridges with 1/4" plastic water hose. This is the most common size and it's very unlikely that you don't have it.

However if you do have a different tube size that's no problem. We will quickly send you a quick push fit converter. This is Free. (Simply contact us if you need this after purchase and delivery).

Changing Your Filter

This only takes a few minutes at most. It is a very simple job.

No plumber should be necessary - unless you can't - or don't want to do things like changing a light bulb. The filter then needs to be changed every 6 months

The indicator light on your fridge's display panel will go on after 6 months. (Please note this light is set on a time alert and is not about amount of usage).

Regardless of the volume used; once the filter has had water inside it, it will need changing after 6 months to prevent a build up of potentially harmful bacteria.

We will send you a free reminder when it's time to change. However, there is no obligation to buy a new one from us.
